Salary range for the position is $67,861 to $97,550. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
How Will You Create An Impact
The Program Coordinator organizes the implementation and evaluation of education programs and strategic initiatives. The Program Coordinator is responsible for reporting program status to internal and external partners for the implementation of priority education programs and strategies. The Program Coordinator provides leadership to program and project teams and ensures the involvement and participation of key partners so that outcomes are delivered within scope, cost, time, and quality. The Program Coordinator is required to lead or coordinate several initiatives simultaneously. Additionally, the Program Coordinator assists and/or coordinates the development of project charters, status updates, and reports.
What Will You Work On
- Develops systems for workflow and documentation, sets activities into priority, and follows up on action plans and deliverables for the Clinical Education program.
- Leads the development and maintenance of Clinical Education and PPO InsideNet pages, TeamSites, and discussion boards.
- Renews and updates affiliation agreements with educational institutions.
- Supports work done in HSPnet to place students along with the development of incremental student capacity in HSPnet by meeting with managers & destination coordinators to assess capacity.
- Develops functional processes and coordinates student progress within Specialty Education programs. Supports the tracking of program requirements including but not limited to completion, return of service requirements, biweekly verifications, and/or scheduling of clinical practicum placements.
- Leads the development of summary reports.
- Prepares statistical information as required by gathering and compiling data and developing and formatting statistical charts and graphs utilizing appropriate software.
- Analyzes data collected on each Specialty Education student related to identification of areas for improvement and for reporting required by operations.
- Plans and implements system and process enhancements, ensuring all provincially established standards and criteria are met.
- Develops a strategy for continual review and revision of processes and software needs as necessary.
- Develops, evaluates, and continuously improves practices and services.
- Analyzes processes and identifies opportunities to find efficiencies related to Clinical Education and Professional Practice Office.
- Gathers information related to relevant initiatives, best practices, benchmarks, Health Authority key objectives, and provincial initiatives.
- Prepares regular summaries and updates and identifies key factors that account for deviation from stated goals for key partners as requested.
- Designs and develops work plans, in conjunction with leaders in Clinical Education and the Professional Practice Office.
- Works on special projects as directed.
